To register a subspeciality
Before you apply, please read carefully the LOPsy Internal Bylaws/Psychotherapist and psychotherapy training center Appendix ( Resource page ) to verify if you possess the requirements

A. Specialization
- Neuropsychology
- Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
B. Psychotherapy approaches
- Psychoanalysis/Psychodynamic approach
- Cognitive-Behavioral approaches (CBT - DBT - ACT - etc...)
- Systemic approach
- Existential and Humanistic approach
- Integrative approach
Note That
- Senior psychotherapists (practicing for more than 15 years) who don’t have any more the required support documents are granted a transition phase until October 2024. They have to fill the application adding to it any support document proving their specialization as psychotherapist, supervisor, etc.
- Once the list of the accredited Lebanese Psychotherapy training centers is published, any training completed in a non-accredited center will be rejected as per LOPsy bylaws.
Standard Application A and B
- Complete Form: Please ensure all sections of the form below are filled out accurately and completely.
- University Degree and/or Professional Certificate : This document should verify your qualifications for the subspecialty or the psychotherapy approach you apply for. It should include:

- The training hours (your actual practice under the program)
- The individual supervision hours you have received (your work under supervision).
- The personal psychotherapy hours (if required) (the number of hours you've completed in personal psychotherapy (if applicable to the program).
- Curriculum Vitae (C.V): A detailed document outlining your educational background, professional experience, and any relevant skills or achievements.
- Criminal Record Check (سجل عدلي): A current criminal record check (no older than 3 months).
Transition Phase for Experienced Psychotherapists (15+ Years) and psychotherapists who completed their training before January 13, 2022 and who lack some of the standard supporting documents
Psychotherapists who lack some of the standard supporting documents may benefit from a transition period until October 2024. These applicants may submit the following in place of a complete standard application:
- Complete Form: Ensure all sections of the form below are filled out accurately and completely.
- Document of Specialization and/or A Reference Letter: Proof of your specialization (e.g., certificate, diploma)/ A letter of recommendation from a recognized authority in the field of your specialization.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed document outlining your educational background, professional experience, and any relevant skills or achievements.
- Criminal Record Check (سجل عدلي): A current criminal record check (no older than 3 months) is required.
